What we do — and don't do — with your information.

The short version: this website sets no cookies, shows no advertising, and does not follow you anywhere else on the internet. We do count how many people visit which pages, anonymously, so we know the site is doing its job. We do not sell, rent, or share anyone's information. If you email us, we have your email — and that is about the extent of it.

What is collected when you visit

Nothing that identifies you personally. This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There are no advertising pixels, no social-media trackers, and no embedded third-party content. The fonts are served from this site rather than from an outside font service, so opening a page does not tell any other company you were here.

We do keep an anonymous count of visits, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records the page you opened, when, the site you arrived from, the country you are in — not a region, a city, or an address — and the browser, operating system, and device type you used. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, it gives you no identifier that outlives the page, and it cannot follow you to any other website. It cannot identify you.

We look at this for one reason — to know whether people are finding the site and what they are reading, so the organization can put its effort where it matters.

Like every website, ours passes through companies that deliver it — Cloudflare, which serves the site to you and protects it, and Vercel, where the site itself is hosted. Both keep routine technical logs of requests: an IP address, the page requested, a browser type, and a timestamp. Those logs exist to deliver the site and to keep it secure. Restore Titusville does not analyze them, build profiles from them, or connect them to anyone's identity.

What happens if you contact us

The contact links on this site open your own email program and send a message to [email protected]. There is no form on this site that collects and stores your information — your message travels as ordinary email.

That means we receive whatever you choose to write, along with your email address. It sits in the organization's Google-hosted email account, which Google operates under its own privacy terms. We use it to reply to you and to keep track of the conversation. We do not add anyone to a mailing list because they emailed us.

Donations

Donations are made by check, mailed to the organization. This website does not process payments and never sees or stores a bank account, card number, or any other financial information.

How long information is kept

Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful to the organization's work — a record of who offered help, what was asked, what was answered. If you would like your messages deleted, write to us and we will delete them.

Who else is involved

Three companies necessarily handle information in the course of running this site: Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the website and provides the anonymous visit counts described above; Vercel, which hosts it; and Google, which provides the organization's email. None of them is given information for their own marketing, and no one else receives anything.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will remove it.

Your choices

Because we hold so little, there is not much to manage — but you are entitled to ask what we have about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will handle it ourselves; there is no process to navigate.

If this changes

If Restore Titusville adds a contact form, an email newsletter, online giving, or anything else that collects information, this page will be updated to say so before that feature goes live. The date below tells you when it was last revised.
